"Wellness to me includes your body, mind, and spirit. For me it’s all about balance and checking in with myself daily, weekly, monthly, etc… You know yourself more than you think, and being honest with yourself about bad habits, toxic relationships, or foods that are not healthy, is the best thing you can be. I have cut out habits that are not good for me, but I also love a Dr. Pepper on the weekends. I love working out, but I don’t beat myself up if I miss a week. I love journaling, but I give myself grace when I miss out on it. It’s about balancing your needs as a whole and giving yourself the love and energy you need. Whether that be with food, physical activity, or how you deal with emotions and thoughts! "
Rosehips are the edible fruit of the deciduous rose. They are typically reddish-orange, although black and yellow kinds can be found as well. There are many varieties stemming from the multitude of species of roses that can be found all over the world. Historically, they have been used both as a source of food and as a medicine throughout many cultures for a wide variety of reasons, with the main uses having been for circulation, lotions, tonics, and purifications (both spiritually and physically).
"...As corny as it sounds, I don’t think anyone needs to look a certain way to be beautiful. I think beauty is all about being kind, self-aware, open, and being unapologetically yourself. There’s truly nothing more beautiful than someone who is so in tune with who they are, and so shamelessly themselves. That confidence is always so radiating, and something I’ve always admired. "
"To me, beauty is a personal journey. There's always going to be the external messages of what beauty is, but ultimately it always comes back to how you think and feel about yourself. Being comfortable in your own skin. My beauty is my own, and once I realized that my whole life changed."
Curcuma Longa, commonly called Turmeric, is a root that is very commonly used in cooking. Native to the Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia, it was widely used for cooking and as a coloring agent. The root, along with other parts of the plant, are also part of Ayurvedic medicine, and were historically used to treat various illnesses, ranging from general health tonics to antiseptics to treat wounds. It is from these Ayurvedic practices and results that had been observed for centuries that scientists in modern times began to look into the plant closer to determine Turmeric’s medical benefits.

"To me, self-care is doing whatever it is that makes me feel good. Practicing self-care is so much more than putting on a face mask, taking a bath (personally, I hate taking baths), or doing yoga and meditating. Self-care is also buying that book you’ve been eyeballing, or leaving work early because you have painful menstrual cramps or staying in on a Friday night and ordering take out and watching a movie that makes you happy. To me, self-care is whatever makes me feel content and right, within my body and my soul."

" I love to practice mindful eating in a capitalistic world, meaning that I try to be very present with my food. It is hard to do that when you see everyone else around you doing the complete opposite: eating at their desk while working, eating at meetings, or just simply not being present. I think wellness is overall being in the moment, listening to your body and what it needs, and feeling good about yourself."
