Ice cream for winding down?! Who knew it could be a thing?? This Adaptogenic orange, chamomile + honey ice cream is a relaxing blend of Restore My Sleep blend, ashwagandha, raw honey, chamomile tea + orange zest. Made with coconut and almond milk for healthy fats and easier to digest than dairy, sweetened with only a touch of stevia and honey - it’s a hug for your mind, body, and soul!
Ingredients:
1 - 14 oz can Full-fat Coconut Milk
2 c Vanilla Almond Milk
2 tsp Restore My Sleep blend
1/3 c Raw Honey
Zest one large Orange
2 tbsp Tapioca
10-12 drops Stevia
1/4 oz loose leaf Chamomile Tea, or 2-3 Chamomile tea bags
How to Make:
Blend everything but the tea in a high-speed blend until smooth and frothy.
Heat 1-2 cups of the ice cream base over medium heat until simmering, then pour into a mug or glass jar with the tea (use a steeper/strainer if using loose leaf)
Strain/remove tea bags after 8-10 minutes and add to the remaining ice cream base.
Chill the mixture for 8 hours or overnight.
Churn in an ice cream machine, following the instructions on the machine.
Mixture will be quite thick and adhere to the mixing panel when it’s ready.
Quickly transfer to small glass jars or a shallow glass container and freeze.
Thaw in the fridge for 1-2 hours, depending on freezer temperature, before enjoying!
